1.2 is out! (Including the EventSub fix!)
Hello again! Despite what I said a few days ago, here’s the update, right in the nick of time. It also includes some unpublished changes from last year (including a fix for the config not being properly replaced!) - there may be issues, don’t be afraid to send an email to chompy-itch@chcl.se
if you run into a bug.
Worth noting is that I’ve updated it to .NET 8, and it’s no longer self contained - you may be prompted on launch to download the runtime if it’s not present on your computer. Once installed, it will be kept up to date by Windows Update.
Here’s the changelog for 1.2 - as per usual. This release was graciously tested by PremiumDaddy, because I haven’t reached affiliate on Twitch yet, funnily enough.
Added
- Explanation popup on Twitch request failures.
Fixed
- Switched Twitch PubSub API to use a different method to sync access. (fixes Sentry issue CHCL-CHOMPY-CLIENT-J, CHCL-CHOMPY-CLIENT-K, and CHCL-CHOMPY-CLIENT-M)
- Properly replace config when updating (used to leave garbage data, sorry mofgs)
- Updated to .NET 8
- Replaced the Twitch PubSub API with their new EventSub API.
Known Issues
- All DECtalk state is not reset between redeems
- Safeties on volume can be circumvented (needs some serious DSP knowledge to completely prevent)
- The program crashes if it fails to load the configuration (for example if it is malformed)
